Enterprise Beekeeping Program
Our Enterprise Beekeeping Program offers comprehensive beekeeping services and educational experiences, helping your business make a positive environmental impact. By partnering with us, you'll not only engage your community but also contribute to sustainability efforts, earning green building credits along the way.
Tailored for Safety and Sustainability
We prioritize the safety of your community by conducting a thorough site assessment to determine the ideal location for the bee colonies—one that ensures safety for the community while providing an optimal environment for the bees. Typically, we place 2-3 honey bee colonies on each site, allowing our beekeepers to maintain stronger, healthier populations. Our full-service program includes monthly maintenance visits, along with all necessary equipment, supplemental feed, and treatments to ensure the colonies thrive.
Supporting Wild Bees with Native Habitat
In addition to honey bee management, we offer the installation and upkeep of wild bee homes. Wild, solitary bees typically nest in the ground or in plant cavities. Our bee houses provide safe spaces for these essential pollinators, helping to counteract the loss of natural habitats due to urbanization. Since wild bees only travel short distances to forage, we complement the bee houses with pollinator-friendly gardens, enriching local biodiversity and beautifying your property for tenants and guests to enjoy. For campuses that are not suitable for hosting honey bees, wild bee homes are an excellent alternative to support local pollinators.
Advancing Environment Awareness and Creating Community Engagement
Our interactive workshops and presentations offer tenants unique and unforgettable experiences. Whether it's the Hive Show and Tell, “To Bee” or “Not to Bee” Trivia, Hive box painting, Planting for Pollinators, or our most popular Honey Harvesting Workshop, each event brings the community together in a fun and meaningful way. These activities highlight the importance of pollinators and environmental stewardship, strengthen support for sustainability initiatives, and promote team-building. The frequency and type of engagement activities can be tailored to meet the needs of each campus community.
